The most important tool in the Diabetes toolbox is the person who has both knowledge and long term experience with Diabetes. No other person possesses the necessary skills and wisdom to teach active Diabetes survival to others.
While each individual that makes up a provision of care team is important, the person who has already walked the path is at the highest level of an effective team after initial diagnosis and start up.
The complexity of Diabetes can only be navigated successfully with an open mind and a desire to step outside of the standard medical approach box.
For success the Diabetes toolbox needs to be full of various standard and specialized tools some of which are provided by Endocrine specialties and some which are not. We provide those which are not currently offered in the standard environments.
